Resort Legal Team Reviews
Overall, there aren’t too many online Resort Legal Team reviews, which is a big concern for our team. For a company that has been in business for over 6 years, they seriously lack an online presence. They have fewer reviews than companies who have been around for 1 or 2 years.
Online customer reviews and feedback are a great source of information. They give you insight into the company on how they operate and how they treat their customers. Resort Legal Team is not rated on multiple platforms. In total, they only have about 5 total Resort Legal Team reviews from past clients. This can mean 2 things; either they are not receiving business, or their clients were not satisfied enough to describe their experience with the company.
As our team continued to review the company, we found some interesting information. Earlier, we mentioned how the company says they assign an attorney to your case. On the Resort Legal Team homepage, the company states how it has access to a network of attorneys, which is ideal for any timeshare exit company. Having an attorney help you through your timeshare exit process is the most legitimate way to exit a contract. Resort Legal Team builds your case based on the misrepresentations you faced during your presentation.
Resort Legal Team also offers a Free Consultation with the company. They do an excellent job here because this shows how selective they are with the cases they take on. An exit company that tries charging up-front and demonstrates no effort in learning about your timeshare situation should not be trusted. If you run into such a company, you should look the other way and keep walking. Most likely, they’re a greedy scammer.
Next to this Resort Legal Team mentions how working with them is “100% Risk-Free.” Typically this translates into a 100% Money-Back Guarantee, but because the company does not post how their exit process works, our team could not verify this. It’s good that they mention their services are risk-free, but they don’t say how or why they are risk-free. This was a red flag for our team because a reputable exit company will make it publicly clear how their fees will have some sort of guarantee or protection during the cancellation process.
Unfortunately, this means the Resort Legal Team Las Vegas charges up-front fees and does not offer an escrow payment option. We never recommend you pay anyone up-front, especially if they haven’t even cancelled your timeshare yet. Paying exit companies up-front before they perform their services has led to many timeshare exit scams. These scams have left numerous owners with empty pockets and a failed attempt to cancel their timeshares. This is why we only recommend exit companies that offer escrow to help you stay protected from a timeshare exit scam. To learn more about escrow, click here.
Another unique statement made by the Resort Legal Team is that they “Protect and fix your credit.” The company states they will help prevent any negative marks on your credit during the timeshare cancellation process. They do an excellent job here by offering such a great yet rare service in the cancellation industry. A timeshare cancellation can be a lengthy and sometimes expensive process. Many exit companies will advise you to stop making your payments because they will “take care of it.”
Never freeze your timeshare payments unless you have some sort of guarantee your credit score will be protected. An average timeshare exit can take anywhere from 6-12 months, and sometimes 18-24 months for the more complex cases to cancel. During this time, if you freeze your payments without any sort of protection, you can put your credit score in jeopardy. Failure to make your payments will result in a potential foreclosure of your timeshare, causing you some severe derogatory remarks that can drop your credit score by as high as 100-150 points. It doesn’t stop there; the timeshare developer can pursue legal action if need be. We admire the Resort Legal Team here for reassuring their clients their credit will be protected.
Resort Legal Team also has a testimonials page where they list numerous testimonials from past clients. Unfortunately, these are all written reviews with no profile pictures of the customers. There are also no video testimonials present. A modest attempt, but unfortunately, this is not enough to establish authenticity.
Overall there are no known Resort Legal Team scams; this is probably because there aren’t many Resort Legal Team reviews. Although the company does well with providing attorneys and credit protection services during the cancellation process, they also raised some red flags for our team in other areas.
