Timeshare Help Source Reviews
The majority of Timeshare Help Source reviews were negative about their experience with the company. Many complained that the company was unresponsive and did not deliver on their promises. Others said that they were unable to get their money back from the company after paying upfront fees for their services.
Customers said they were promised a refund of their money if they did not get out of their timeshare within a certain time frame, but were not given one when they did not reach their goals. One customer said that he paid $5,500 to the company to help them cancel their timeshare, but never heard back from them. Another said that she received very little information about what to do once she had hired the company to help her get out of her contract, leaving her feeling confused and vulnerable during the process.
This combination of bad reviews left us with two big red flags: a lack of customer service and a general lack of information regarding the company’s business practices. Without knowing exactly what the company is providing, it’s difficult to assess what, if anything, you’ll get out of using them to help you get rid of your timeshare. This provoked the Better Business Bureau to step in and conduct an investigation into the company’s practices. The investigation is still ongoing, so as of now we have not been able to get a clear answer about what this company is offering to customers. But currently, the BBB has given the Timeshare Help Source an “F” rating. This suggests that you should be very careful before using this service if you have any doubts about whether you can trust them to provide you with an accurate and reliable service.
Here is what the BBB had to say about Timeshare Help Source:
Timeshare Help Source Website
On the Timeshare Help Source website, you will see some information about the company that you may not see elsewhere. This includes a list of all the programs and services that the company offers as well as testimonials from happy customers.
Our first impression of the site was that it didn’t have a ton of information. In fact, all of the information we found on the site wasn’t very well organized. And the design felt a bit outdated as well. So it lacked some of the basic elements that we consider important for a website like this, such as a user-friendly layout and clear contact information. It also doesn’t have any type of money-back guarantee or money-back guarantee policy listed anywhere on its website, which left us wondering what kind of guarantee we owners were getting if they hired them for their timeshare cancellation.
In other words, the first thing to note here is that all of these programs cost money. So right off the bat, we know that this is not a free service. However, it does give you an indication of the types of things you can expect to get out of the company if you decide to hire them to help you get rid of your timeshare. The programs listed on the site include cancelling or selling a timeshare. So if you want to use this program to get rid of your timeshare, you will need to pay to have it cancelled. You will also have the option to sell your timeshare on the secondary market if you choose to do so.
Our team kept scrolling to find a section where they discuss their process. We assumed this would be a fairly in-depth section where they would explain how they help people get out of their timeshares. But unfortunately, there is no specific section on its website that explains how the company actually helps its customers with their timeshare problems. Instead of feeling more informed after reading about this company’s process, we felt more confused than when we started. The steps end with you leaving their seminar “educated” on what you should be doing with your timeshare, but there is no real explanation of how you will actually achieve this goal. It just kind of leaves you hanging in the air.
Still no mentions of escrow or a guarantee, so how can Timeshare Help Source protect you from being scammed? We always recommend you hire a company that offers an escrow payment option or some sort of money-back guarantee in case they don’t deliver the service you were promised. Unfortunately, neither of these options is offered by this company. To learn more about why escrow is important, click here.
Continuing our review, we came across a couple of Google reviews from past Timeshare Help Source customers. All of the reviews were positive, which was very different from the ones we saw online. In fact, their overall Google star rating is a 3.3/5-star rating out of 50 reviews. This is very low compared to many other companies that offer similar services in the timeshare industry. If a company’s customer service scores are low like this, but they are only posting 5-star ratings, this can definitely be misleading. We encourage you to dig a little deeper by reading other customer reviews to get a better idea of whether the company is credible or not.
Heading over to the ‘Contact Us’ page, we were hoping we could find out more about this company’s process of working with its clients, or who works on their team. We found nothing on this page that would help us learn more about who to contact or how to get in touch with them. They have a link to their contact form at the bottom of the page, but again, it left us with more questions than answers. We did find a message from the owner – Charles Hearn. In the message, he encouraged people to reach out with any questions they had about their services. While this is a good start and shows a willingness to help their clients, we would have liked to have more information about who Charles Hearn is and what makes Timeshare Help Source a better choice than some of the other companies out there.
Unfortunately, we did not find much, so we did a Google search to see what we could find. We were able to locate an article that referenced Timeshare Help Source on Accesswire.com. In the article, it is stated that the company “specializes in helping timeshares get rid of unwanted timeshares…” While this article mentions Timeshare Help Source as a good option for getting rid of your timeshare, we found it to be riddled with basic information and no factual details as to why they were a better option than other companies like it. This made it very difficult to judge if this company was the best choice or if others were better. What’s more, we learned that Charles is only an entrepreneur. This means that he does not have a background in law or experience in fixing timeshares. This made us even more skeptical of their abilities to cancel timeshares.
There is also no mention of any attorneys or lawyers on their team. Or if they even include them in their process. This is why we found it peculiar to read another article mentioning how Charles and the Timeshare Help Source Team have had an outstanding amount of success and how he plans to open offices in all 50 states. It just seemed a little too good to be true, but we wanted to at least find out more information before making our final decision. So lastly we visited Charles’s personal Instagram profile where we found no mentions of how long he’s been in the timeshare exit industry. All found were a few pictures of him in suits and a couple of pictures of him attending a few events hosted by Grant Cardone. It was evident that there was quite a bit of glamour involved in his lifestyle, which was something we did not find appealing when looking for validation of his ability to cancel timeshare contracts.
The bottom line is we did not find enough information on the Timeshare Help Source website to give us the confidence we needed to recommend them. The information about their history with canceling timeshares was extremely vague and we were unable to locate any of their results or testimonials from previous clients. Because of this, we decided to not recommend them.
