Linx Legal

Linx Legal, also known as Linx Legal, Inc. is another timeshare exit company that may be able to help you get rid of your timeshare. The company is based out of Charlotte, NC, but has offices in Myrtle Beach, SC, Scottsdale, AZ and offers in-home consultations anywhere in the United States. Linx Legal, Inc. has been in business for about 11 years now but did not receive an official BBB accreditation until 07/06/2017.

Hiring an exit company that took 7-8 years to get accreditation with the BBB did raise some concerns for our team. In addition, for being around for 11 years we did find it odd how they lack online reviews on all platforms. A reputable timeshare exit company will typically have a strong positive presence on all platforms.

Choosing the right exit company for your timeshare cancelation can be trickier than it seems. As you hear sales pitch after sales pitch, you start to realize they can start to all sound the same and it can get quite repetitive. Lucky for you, our team has written an in-depth review of Linx Legal listing the company’s pros and cons. Our team believes there are a couple of useful tips every timeshare owner should know before working with any exit company. Fill out the form on the right or initiate a Live Chat so we can help you find the right exit company ideal for your timeshare situation.

Reviews

Linx Legal Reviews

Linx Legal reviews are fairly mixed, which isn’t typically a good sign since they are not rated on all platforms. Online consumer reviews and feedback are a wonderful source of information that can provide an inside scoop on how the company runs their business, as well as how they treat their customers.

If an exit company does not have much online credibility, the next best place to check is their website. As our team clicked on the Linx Legal homepage link, the first thing that stood out to our team was how clean and organized it looked. Nothing over the top, just a sleek professional layout and design.

As we continued to review Linx Legal’s homepage, the next section we came across was their quick assessment quiz. Here owners take a 15s quick to help the company see if they qualify for their services. Our team admires this from Linx Legal because it demonstrates how selective they are with deciding which cases to pick up. A greedy exit company will accept anything, and try to charge you up-front without having any knowledge about your situation.

Below this section our team found another section with a few text boxes, each one filled with some important points the company would like to know about them. The first box that stood out to our team, was the box that mentions how Linx Legal, Inc. offers a 100% Money-Back Guarantee. Our team prefers an escrow payment option so you stay protected against a timeshare exit scam, however a 100% Money-Back Guarantee can be a cheaper option if it’s with the right company. With escrow, you tend to pay an additional fee since the exit company has to wait almost a year before they get paid. To learn more about Escrow vs 100% Money-Back Guarantee, click here.

As we made our way over to Linx Legal’s “What We Do” page, we were impressed to find so much information content. The company mentions how they aim to educate owners of potential scams in the industry. This is a positive sign since any company who is willing to educate their owners is usually a legitimate business. At the end of the day the customers come first. As an exit company, by providing an education to owners on how they can avoid future scams themselves, this only adds more value to the business.

Although the company’s name is Linx Legal, this does not mean they are a law firm. On the same “What We Do” page, the company mentions how they are not a law firm and how they pick and choose when to involve a timeshare attorney. Yes this can be beneficial because attorneys do tend to charge attorney fees, however trying to cancel solely through cancellation letters has a low success rate and does not work with every timeshare developer. Our team believes the most legitimate way to cancel your timeshare is by hiring an experienced timeshare exit company who involves a timeshare attorney with every case, to assure your case will be successfully cancelled on the first try.

Cost & Fees

Linx Legal Costs & Fees

Everyone’s favorite question is always, “How much is this all going to cost?” Unfortunately in the timeshare cancellation industry, most exit companies do not post their fees online, including Linx Legal.

Similar to their competitors, Linx Legal costs and fees are not posted on their website. There is nothing strange about this since exit costs are typically determined after a free consultation with the company. If an exit company tries to charge you up-front without any knowledge of your situation, run! Most likely they are a scam.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of online customer reviews, our team could not confirm how much Linx Legal costs. A standard range amongst all exit companies however can run $3,000-$10,000 depending on the complexity of your case.

Ratings

Linx Legal Ratings

As we mentioned before, Linx Legal ratings are fairly mixed. As of January 2021 the Linx Legal BBB page has an A+ rating with a 4.95/5-star rating out of 56 customer reviews. The company has closed 1 complaint in the last 3 years, and 1 complaint closed recently in the last 12 months.

Linx Legal does not have any reviews on Trustpilot, the same goes for the Linx Legal facebook page. On Google, the company does have a 5.0 star rating out of 4 reviews, but on Yelp they have a 2.0/5.0-star rating out of 1 review.  Below reviews from their past customers who both mention their experiences with the company:

Final Thoughts

Final Thoughts

Overall the Linx Legal does seem like a legitimate company. Our team did not come across any known scams regarding the company. A few things stood out about Linx Legal, such as the 100% Money-Back Guarantee, an A+ rating with the BBB, and a “Timeshare Education” page that contains an abundance of beneficial content for its readers. At the same time, a few points did raise some concern for our team. For instance, they seriously lack online customer feedback, and for an exit company with 11 years in the industry. They also do not offer any up-front fee escrow payment option, which both could be deal breakers for many timeshare owners who are searching for the right exit solution.

Contact our team so that we may help you find a reputable exit company that is ideal for your current timeshare situation. Our team only recommends hiring timeshare exit companies that offer escrow, so you eliminate all up-front fees. Holiday Inn Vacation Club (HIVC)

August 8, 2023

$17k and 3 years later, all I have is a grammar-checked letter to HIVC, appointed legal counsel that quit, and a response that Linx Legal never guaranteed me anything. My FICO went from 805 to 640 and I have been threatened with foreclosure on the timeshare by HIVC.

My fault though since I fell for the same “limited time to respond” tactic that HIVC used. If I have any hope of salvaging my credit, I will need to sign over my deed in lieu of foreclosure.

I am sure I will be chastised for writing this review since the contract states I cannot post bad reviews. Stay away.

I really appreciate all of the hard work that Blake put in with me to get rid of this enormous debt. He answered all of my questions, guided me through the entire process, was always responsive to my emails and kept me aware of everything that was going to happen next. I am definitely recommending them for getting rid of your timeshare.
