Linx Legal

Linx Legal, also known as Linx Legal, Inc. is another timeshare exit company that may be able to help you get rid of your timeshare. The company is based out of Charlotte, NC, but has offices in Myrtle Beach, SC, and Scottsdale, AZ.

Linx Legal claims to be the best in timeshare debt cancellation. They state that they are the top company in the industry.

Linx Legal makes bold claims, which is surprising given the industry’s reputation in the US. Their website highlights some important details:

  1. They extend in-home consultations throughout the entire United States.
  2. Linx Legal’s business history spans approximately 14 years.
  3. Weren’t officially accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) until 07/06/2017.
  4. No Escrow only a 100% Money-Back Guarantee. Does this mean up-front fees?
  5. Linx Legal decides when to involve a timeshare attorney. What if they decide wrong?

An exit company that boasts over 14 years of experience but took 7-8 years to get accredited with the BBB did raise some concerns for our team. In addition, for being around for 14 years we did find it odd how they lack online reviews on all platforms. A reputable timeshare exit company will typically have a strong positive presence on all platforms.

Choosing the right exit company for your timeshare cancelation can be trickier than it seems. As you hear sales pitch after sales pitch, you start realizing they can all start sounding the same and it can get quite repetitive. Lucky for you, our team has written an in-depth review of Linx Legal listing the company’s pros and cons.

Our team believes there are a couple of useful tips every timeshare owner should know before working with any exit company. Fill out the form on the right or initiate a Live Chat so we can help you find the right exit company ideal for your timeshare situation.

Reviews

Linx Legal Reviews

Linx Legal Inc. reviews are fairly mixed, which isn’t typically a good sign since they don’t have ratings on all platforms.

Online reviews give valuable insights about a company’s operations and are a great source of information. It can also demonstrate how well it treats its customers.

If an exit company does not have much online credibility, the next best place to check is their website. When we opened the Linx Legal homepage, we noticed that it looked extremely neat and well-organized. Nothing over the top, just a sleek professional layout and design.

As we continued to review Linx Legal’s homepage, the next section we came across was their quick assessment quiz. Here owners take a 15s quick to help the company see if they qualify for their services.

Our team admires this from Linx Legal because it demonstrates how selective they are with deciding which cases to pick up. A greedy exit company takes anything and charges you upfront without knowing your situation.

Below, our team found another part with text boxes filled with important information the company should know. The first box that stood out to our team, was the box that mentions how Linx Legal, Inc. offers a 100% Money-Back Guarantee.

We prefer using escrow payments to protect you from scams. However, a 100% Money-Back Guarantee from a reputable company can be a more cost-effective option. You pay extra with escrow because the exit company has to wait a long time before receiving payment. To learn more about Escrow vs 100% Money-Back Guarantee, click here.

As we made our way over to Linx Legal’s “What We Do” page, we were impressed to find so much information content. The company mentions how it aims to educate owners of potential scams in the industry. It’s good that a company wants to educate its owners, it means they’re probably a legit business.

At the end of the day, the customers come first. As an exit company, teaching owners how to avoid scams themselves adds value to the business.

Although the company’s name is Linx Legal, this does not mean they are a law firm. The company states on their site they are not a law firm. They also decide when to involve a timeshare attorney. You can find this information on their “What We Do” page.

Yes, it can help because lawyers charge fees. However, canceling only with letters has a low success rate. Additionally, this method doesn’t work for all timeshare companies.

We think the best way to cancel your timeshare is to hire a timeshare exit company with a timeshare attorney. Ensuring that your case is successfully canceled on the first attempt.

Cost & Fees

Linx Legal Costs & Fees

Everyone’s favorite question is always, “How much is this all going to cost?” Unfortunately in the timeshare cancellation industry, most exit companies do not post their fees online, including Linx Legal.

Linx Legal does not post its costs and fees on its website, similar to its competitors. There is nothing strange about this because the company typically determines exit costs after a free consultation. If an exit company tries to charge you up-front without any knowledge of your situation, run! Most likely they are a scam.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of online customer reviews, our team could not confirm how much Linx Legal costs. A standard range amongst all exit companies however can run $3,000-$10,000 depending on the complexity of your case.

Final Thoughts

Linx Legal Complaints

Our team has not come across many online Linx Legal complaints. Still, this does not imply the absence of any previous complaints against the company.

Some Linx Legal reviews express concerns about their business practices. One owner went to the extent of stating they only employ paralegals with no legal expertise!

Past customer reviews are how you gain insight into a company’s customer treatment. Excessive negative reviews can potentially damage Linx Legal’s reputation, particularly in an industry notorious for scams and fraud. Businesses within the timeshare industry must actively monitor and address customer feedback.

This approach is important for establishing trust and upholding a positive reputation.

To succeed in the timeshare industry, businesses need to actively manage customer feedback. They also need to attract new customers and maintain a good image in the face of competition.

Final Thoughts

Is Linx Legal Legit? Linx Legal does seem like a legitimate company. Our team did not come across any known scams regarding the company.

Linx Legal is commendable. They provide a money-back guarantee and boast an A+ rating from BBB. Additionally, they have a “Timeshare Education” section filled with valuable information.

At the same time, a few points did raise some concerns for our team. For instance, they seriously lack online customer feedback, and for an exit company with 14 years in the industry.

Timeshare owners seeking an exit company may feel discouraged because of the absence of an escrow option. This could potentially be a deal breaker for them, and it for sure is for us. We only recommend companies with no upfront fees and with an escrow service.

Our team also found they have a financial arrangement with a subordinate review website called CancelTimeshareGeek.com. Could they be responsible for “boosting” their reviews? We’ll let you decide that.

Contact our team so that we may help you find a reputable exit company that is ideal for your current timeshare situation. Our team only recommends hiring timeshare exit companies that offer escrow, so you protect yourself from a timeshare scam.

Holiday Inn Vacation Club (HIVC)

$17k and 3 years later, all I have is a grammar-checked letter to HIVC, appointed legal counsel that quit, and a response that Linx Legal never guaranteed me anything. My FICO went from 805 to 640 and I have been threatened with foreclosure on the timeshare by HIVC.

My fault though since I fell for the same “limited time to respond” tactic that HIVC used. If I have any hope of salvaging my credit, I will need to sign over my deed in lieu of foreclosure.

I am sure I will be chastised for writing this review since the contract states I cannot post bad reviews. Stay away.

I really appreciate all of the hard work that Blake put in with me to get rid of this enormous debt. He answered all of my questions, guided me through the entire process, was always responsive to my emails and kept me aware of everything that was going to happen next. I am definitely recommending them for getting rid of your timeshare.
